Queefing is the natural process of releasing air from the vaginal cavity. Either you or your significant other may notice an unpleasant odor linked with it from time to time.

Queefing is not a significant health problem, but it can be embarrassing. You might have to know how to deal with vaginal flatus to avoid this issue.

It can happen when you’re in the middle of sex or using a penetrating object. According to Sarah Yamaguchi, a gynecologist, queefing occurs when air escapes from the vaginal canal in a large enough volume to be noticed. A small amount of air can be forced into the vaginal canal, and it can be expelled out all at once.

Queefing is a common occurrence that you should not be concerned about. It’s a normal element of the vaginal system. Dr. Yamaguchi goes on to state that one should not think that their vagina is too loose or too wide because of queefing.

She adds, “If your partner makes you feel self-conscious about it, then you can try different things, but really, it is partially what they are doing, too. And so what? they are still lucky to be having sex with you.”

It’s simply a question of when air pushes out of your vaginal opening, which normally happens during intercourse. It is possible that you will encounter it while exercising.

“When you have penetrative sex, a little air can get trapped in your vagina and stay there,” Dr. Yamaguchi added, saying that whenever you lift anything heavy the following day, though, it may be pushed out as you flex your belly and apply pressure.

“Similarly if you are doing exercises where you are somewhat stretching open your vaginal opening, small amounts of air can get pushed inside. Then when you are later doing squats, it gets pushed out [of your vagina],” she advises.
